Have any of you ever installed a Truetrac in the front of your 4x4? I'm in the process of installing an Eaton Truetrac in the front end of my 1977 K10. It has the stock GM 10 bolt 8.5" ring gear differential. The Truetrac box included a parts bag that had the inspection cover and snap ring in it, along with what appears to be an axle spacer slug. It's a solid round hunk of metal about three quarters of an inch high and about the same diameter as the axle shafts. I am assuming that I DO NOT install this in my application since it is a very sloppy fit between the axle shafts and nothing to really hold it in place. Can anyone who has experience with the Truetrac confirm this?

Thanks!

Nevermind. Eaton tech support finally got back to me and confirmed that the axle spacer is not used in my particular application.
