If you remember where it is or anything I'd love to see a pic! A buddy of mine has one he wants 100$ for and it just needs a new sensitizer. ( the little clear plastic part over the LCD screen)

Thanks for locating that! Hmm. I was gonna try to cram it in where the stock radio would be. Haven't done the math yet though

You'd probably have to get a console and put the D-DIN in that and black out your stock location.

Yea I had thought about trimming the bezel off below the heater controls and straight down along the steering column. I have a spare bezel laying around that I thought I would try the mock up with to see if it can be done. Time will tell!

Ive considered the double-d myself. Wonder if you could move the heater control down and then put the double-d in the above two spots combined? The issue might be depth.

Survey says...about 8" at the closest point to the firewall.

And a typical deck is less than that (even better that the plugs are almost always on the passengers side rear of the deck)

A little tight on the bezel but if you cheat it down a tad it'll just fit.

So I'd say it'll work with just a little trimming. I would have done exactly this but I opted for a single din unit instead. I'm planning to swap the air control and stereo locations when i do mine. I believe that's the way GM should have done it given the dash layout. They would have figured it out if the double din existed back in the day.
