Hi guys, I'm going through the basic stuff on my new Burb. One of the big things is that since I got it home, the front passenger door doesn't want to open. It seems to be unlocked (the thingy pops up, anyway) but it won't open from the outside or the inside -- acts just like it's locked. Key doesn't do anything, and neither do the power locks. It just seems stuck.

Wondering how I get it open and make sure it opens when I want it to.

Mine did this for a while, the latch needed lubed. The lock would basically get jammed up a bit and the knob would not come all the way up. Try pulling the inside handle quickly and repeatedly, sort of letting it snap back to it's stop. Do that maybe 10 or 15 times and then try pulling the lock knob up the rest of the way.

Will do! Thanks man. If I can get it open, I'm going to lube it good. Heh, heh.

I did just what you said, and it worked great! Got the door opened and used white lithium grease on the hasp, and now it's working perfect.

I took the opportunity to grease the hasps and hinges on all the doors, too.

Thanks!

I ended up pulling the door panel and lubing the latch from the inside with penetrating oil, that way I knew everything was freed up. Glad it worked!
