I have a rear differential with disk brakes out of a 2004 tahoe. I'm thinking about putting it into my 86 k10. Can it be done without alot of Fab work. I know it will have to be cleaned up, and the perches will have to be welded in place,. But it does have the same gear ratio as my front 10 bolt. Has anybody done this before?

Being from a Tahoe, it will have the link mounts rather than spring perches. It doesn't matter really, it's just more that needs cut off.

It's just like any other custom axle swap. Clean off all the old stuff, tack the perches in place, double check the pinion angle, then fully weld the perches and the shock mounts too.
