nope, the ceiling just has the three vinyl plugs that i'm assuming you'd attach a headliner to. i think the previous owner resprayed the inside of the truck when they did the cab swap…i figured it just looked too new to be original.

would the dome light mount in the headliner itself? there's nowhere for any wires to get there that i can find...

weird, the carpet kit on mine stops 6 or 8 inches below the back window. the way it terminates fits the body line back there. must not be factory either.

they came with carpet all the way up the back behind the seats? mine is the same painted metal above where the carpet ends.

The black plugs are only there to fill the holes somebody drilled for some reason. Likely to push out dents in the roof skin. That grab handle was also added. Later Suburbans got those.

i always assumed it was for a headliner… now i'm really wondering. don't think they were for body work. they're only in the inner skin and the actual exterior top of the truck has no signs of body work; looks new.

should it be visible here?

Yes, those plugs would only be on the inner skin to gain access for pushing on the outer skin. When bodywork is done well, you won't be able to see where it was done. That's kinda the point in fixing dents, lol.

Also note, they are not evenly spaced on the roof.
