I have a 1973 Dana 44 front differential that was bolted to my 1980 K30 Crew. The inside, near the housing, damper mount is a hokey bolt-on affair that, 1. I want to make a weld-on replacement for and, 2. I need to know the distance from the housing, or other reference point, and distance below the axle housing centerline for the mount hole centerline. Of course, I’m sure someone here has this information committed to memory, right?

Okay, I found a couple rigs to measure and on both the Dana 44 and 60 the center of the mounting bracket hole is about 5 1/4” from the housing. I’m sure everyone here was on the edge of their seat.....

Lol, I was going to go measure but like many other things these days, my mind couldn't retain it.
