That's a great idea! I built a console almost 2 years ago and got stuck at this point, got busy and never did figure out how to finish it out nicely. Up front was my main hang up

Turned out well.

A friend cobbled his together. It looks horrid, but I didn't go there.

Perhaps, comically/ironically, he brought it to my 1,800 square foot woodworking shop to show off.

He knows I've helped him in the past, and that I built my own console, and dash, and stereo frame, and shifter cover (with a flare at the to for the rocker switch controlling the overdrive), lower door panels, glove box and ashtray covers, and overhead console (for all the gauges).

The car, a 67 SS, looks nice and is well restored.

I should have reminded him cardboard is his friend (to build patterns). May it would have turned out half as nice as yours.
