Hi all, any good ideas for a good cup holder? Willing to build or buy, just want some ideas. (How to build, where to place, etc.) Thanks for your time :)

Avoid the POS LMC sells that go in the ashtray holder. Ask me how I know. If your truck is a K model, good luck. My 85 K20 launches cups and anything not bolted down like vomit. If you have an auto-trans, at least you can use your right arm to hold a coffee mug.

I use a cheap plastic console with cup holder that I got at Walmart or K-mart. It came with small screws/wires that screw down and attach it to the carpet on the transmission tunnel, and the cup holders slide back and forth to adjust for size. Its very basic, but it holds two cups just fine and has a change tray in the middle.

If you are on Facebook, look up Michael Bush, TX or Cupholders by Mike.
Made for our trucks, go into the ashtray. $60. I've got one on my Christmas list

Between your legs like we all did prior to the creation of cup holders?

I use the center console and my hand to support the cups every now and then to keep them from flying.

edit: My Burb came with those cupholders that go in the window channel and they are OK for a smaller cup but are flimsy otherwise, they also never stay in place.

My door panels don't have the pouch on them. I've been thinking of fabbing something up to mount there. I have a bench seat and don't want anything between me and the missus. ;)

ALL of these cup holders are too small for Yeti, Starbucks bottles, the smallest water bottles made, or any coffee mug I've found. I bought one of these only to be able to use it for soda cans or beer bottles(don't drink but you guys who do will love having a beer up there on display). Had to buy an "extender" to make it work for anything I wanted to take along(which made cup holding expensive) or pitch and start over(more expensive).

Sorry for the crappy pic in advance

Actually you are incorrect. Mike (Cupholders by Mike) makes Yetti sized and regular.

Fresh roll of duct tape worked for me quite a long while.
