hello. i have a 86 m1008, the one with a 24v starting system ya know. i have ran into a issue. when i go to starting the truck it cranks very slow [battery's and 2 months old] load tested those and came out as new. i have concluded by that both alternators are charging the system. so starter problem? this issue occurred a couple days ago. it cranks very slow, itll start but so low that if it skips a beat it probably. before it stated like new [in lower than 32 out] the light on the dash for gen 2 bat has been blinking and dont know what it could be, any help is appreciated

Not a CUCV expert, but can we @$$ume you've gone over all the electrical connections to the batteries, alternators, grounds and starter? Nothing loose, rotten or just plain cr@ppy?

I've had two of these trucks. It's more than likely the starter or as said above, bad cable connections.

Yes, there are two ways to convert to 12V. A one battery system and a two battery system. I would suggest the one battery system.

Search Rosscommon Equipment. They have a far more detailed procedure with illustrations and photos to get you through it than I can give you.
