Wonder how many members out there are as much of a fan of fat fender cruisin' cars on summer nights as myself . Feel free to share pic or four. This is my 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe. Inline 235 6 cylinder 3 speed on the tree.

Yes sir.
You nailed it.
I have a 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door.
When I first bought it, it was bright and shiny.
Then after a couple years the paint just crapped out.
The PO used some super cheap topcoat over the color coat and I got pissed and pushed it to the side.
He had also installed a set of hydraulics in the car.
I later found that he did those as cheap as possible as well.
They all came out and it now sits with cut coils in the front and lowering blocks in the rear.

Now I have more income and can afford to do what it is that I want to with the car after a couple of other projects are taken care of.
Now for the photos.....

This is when the hydros were still under it.
Pretty much about where I drove it....

Back when the paint was still nice....

New wheels I found for it.
The PO had wires on it and I didn't want to roll with those...

More of the shiny paint...

It was driven from Portland OR to Tijuana Mexico by the PO and had a real 1 day interior put into the car.
It still looks nice today.

My son who turned 16 back in September found his first car a while ago.
We were happy to loan him the cash to pick this up.
We need to get the paperwork in order and then it will go straight to the metal master for some rust repair.

I like some of the body styles like that but my idea of a cruiser car would be one of these
Suicide door Lincoln
69 Cadillac Coupe Deville
65 Rivera
58 Impala/Biscayne/Caprice
65 Biscayne

problem is none would fit in my garage.

Mine was a '56, it was great. I told my wife, of all the cars out there that I like and want, the only one I will spend money on if the price is right is another '56. I never wanted to sell mine, but I needed to hire an attorney to take my ex to court to fight for custody. The guy I sold the car to never did anything to it, and when I saw him a few years later I asked him how it coming along, that's when I found out he sold it.
