Got to work on the truck since it was nice out!

First up I lowered the seats and even the little bit made a huge difference.

I bought some 1 inch flat stock from home depot. Hacked up the square tube bracket I made and butched it together.

My head is no longer in the headliner and i am not hitting my legs on the wheel.

Next up I got tired of trying to find an aux battery tray so I made one.

I took some 90 metal I had and some left over flat stock, my vice, and my harbor freight welder and butchered this together.

I need to make another 2 90 degree supports and it is just self tapping screwed in place atm with a 100% dead battery sitting in it. If I like how it sits and rides I will properly bolt it in and use a lash strap to the tray. More or less I am ok with it.

So the paint on the truck is a respray that isn't great. it was never color sanded and it is badly oxidized.
that being said where there is paint i can get the color back. I have been slowly working on paint correction and I finally got my bedliner rolled in

the process i settled on is done with a porter cable DA

step 1 is ultimate compound with a purple wool cutting pad

step 2 is ultimate polish with a yellow cutting pad

step 3 is show car glaze on an orange cutting pad I let this is to let the oils work into the paint for awhile

step 4 is nufinsh with a black polishing pad, buffed with a terry cloth cover and then a final microfiber wipe

For the bed liner i did the entire bed with a red scotchbrite pad after several pressure washings and de-greasing
I did some rustoleum rust reformer on the rusty spots that had to cure for 24 hrs
then i did 2 very thick coats of roll on herculiner bed liner
I used almost 2 entire gallons each gallon is supposed to do multiple coats on a 6 fix bed
I left the 5th wheel rails in and will get some remote undercoating to stray under them.

i focused on the walls and rails because i have a heavy duty rubber mat that lives in there and will protect most of the floor

there are runs and thick spots but that is fine I was going for functional not pretty but overall I am happy. it is still curing since i put it on so thick.

I will have to keep this updated with how it holds up over time

That looks pretty slick. Anxious to know how it holds up. Was looking at that Raptor liner - no idea how one compares to another.

    Updates!

My Kicker amp and subs finally came in
And it looks like the kicker 1" tweeter housing will screw directly into the b pillar seat belt bolt holes

I got the new alternator mount installed and the new 225 amp 14.8v alternator installed but if i try to go interstate speeds the voltage regulator gives up.
It currently has a 49mm pulley on the alternator and I may just be spinning it too fast at high rpms.
I am going to dig through my alternator grave yard and see if I can come up with a bigger pulley to slow it down.

    So felt ambitious today

Started by redoing the alternator grounding and fixed some wires that were badly crimped
Also found that the excite wire was broken in the jacket so fixed that
    Voltage now looks steady
