Can anyone tell me what choke is on this? I know it’s not manual and has no electrical connections going to it

divorced choke, they worked decently. Have to be sure the heat riser works, and intake isn't plugged. Plugged intakes are common. A passage inside intake allows exhaust to heat the choke thermostat.

as stated above, divorced (located away from the carb body) thermal (coiled metal strip reacts to heat of the intake manifold) choke.

Get a HOLLEY!!!
And an L.S swap. Yea I'm watching you two.

Okay more seriously are you just asking? Or are you having a problem. Just for fun I just went and started my truck Q jet, choke is disabled accidentally. Its 69 degrees outside my choke plate is always wide open. I pumped the throttle twice hit the key it started almost immediately and idled, truck hasn't been started since I posted the hillbilly engine hoist situation probably 10 days ago.

Of course it started, it’s a Q-Jet. Nothing unusual about it running well. The most common carb ever built, used on who knows how many millions of GM cars and every 4bbl squarebody.
