What was the original color? Do you want the cab/firewall etc to match? And are you going to straighten it all out or just painting it basically as is? If it’s not straight, stick with white imo or a very light color. Dark colors look like shit if the body isn’t perfect.
Whatever color you go with, please please PLEASE make it a COLOR. One of the things I like best about these old trucks is the bold colors and two-tone paint jobs that used to come from the factory. My '73 is a bright blue (roughly the 2263, though not original) and it really stands out. I look up and down my street and every other vehicle is black, white, gray or "sparkly beige". it's depressing. Somebody on the forum posted a pic of their two-tone mint green and white '7x and I loved it, wish I could find that picture again. Think it was in the "Post a pic" thread, (DUH!) Anybody has a lead on that beauty let me know please. -- BR

My truck is Chevy Dark Green code 505 and I think it was 43 when used as a two tone color. It is the truck in my avatar. I can post some pics if wanted.
