It's a spicer diff from a polaris ranger w/a diesel, used by a nearby ski slope for hauling guns & hoses up and down the mountain. The gear oil looked like never seize and blew an inspection hole in the case. The pinion nut loosened and walked back into the carrier then locked up the rear end. "It was making a noise from the rear for a while". :banghead:

Oh i know all about the "noise". Till its screeching so loud you cant hear over true duals with flowmasters

I can't count the number of things that show up in my shop that clearly spent a lot of time trying to warn the operator that failure was imminent.

But it's always "I dunno. It just stopped."

Makes my hair hurt.
