I saw the Camaro tach thing and thought it was a good idea. Like everyone else though, it just looks bad with only the tach. So I took it one step farther. Well four steps farther actually...

Still not done yet. I need to clean them, I need to wire them. I also haven't decided if I want to keep the clock, go with a blank out or try to find some other guage that matches the Camaro style to put in there. Opinions?

I'll get some more pics of the magic I used to attach them all. They are very secure and easily removable.

This would work for old style non CC speedo and the CC style. You'd just have to use the CC module from your truck to this speedo, they have the same plug and are both cable drive.

I did have to lose the 4x4 light (didn't work anyway), choke light (I have TPI), Parking brake light (Oh well), and seatbelt light (didn't work and good riddance!)

I don't have anymore pics yet but I'm still in process and I will take more.

Nothing is quite permanent yet so I should be able to get some good step by steps.

I also was able to retain the high beam indicator. Forgot to mention that.

So what do you guys think about the clock? Leave it? Blank it out? Does anyone know of another Camaro guage I could use there?

I may be wrong here... I thought all squares even the '90s burbs and such had a cable driven speedo and that the speedo had an electric sensor box on it for the CC and ECU? Or is it purely electrically driven?

If I'm correct and there is a cable going to the speedo. Then you are good to go. I'll take pics of how to set that up and show you.

If I'm wrong and they are electrically driven. Then it will be harder but I believe we can still make it work. Problem is I would need a Camaro speedo and a electric square speedo to be 100%. I'm 95% sure without having hands on though. It will be more difficult!

I'm going to get some pics right now. Expect me back in a hour? maybe less?

Zero. Round gauge Camaros still used cable speedos. In 1990 when they went to the half moon gauges, those were electric but no way to be adapted.

1990 and 1991 squares had an all electronic speedo.

I'd still be willing to bet you could make it work.

You would have to use an 85 mph Camaro speedo instead of a 115 or 145 though.

Disattach the face from both units and swap faces and needles. Looks like you might have to ditch the trip meter though... The 0-85 sweep looks the same or at least close enough, hell most of our speedos are off from the factory not to mention changing tire size. Might even be able to make the trip work if you didn't mind a long rectangle hole over the reset button too.

Ok, back to the workbench. Pics coming soon.
