So ive had this issue for about a year now. I thought it was because of leaking wheel cylinders, but after the rear swap i put on all new brakes, hardware and cylinders and it still happens. The brake light comes on faint not fully on but only at random times. Could anyone shed a little light on this? No pun intended.

My brake light is more hardcore than that. Mine's super bright. Lol...

Seriously, though, mine just came on this weekend during a test drive and I'm not sure wtf is causing it, either. So I'll be tuned in to this thread.

10-4. I was just making fun of your wimpy half-lit light.
Mine is definitely warning me about my imminent death.

Haha....

Well what could possibly be going wrong?
Brake fluid sensor going bad? Ebrake switch on its way out?
I can't imagine there's much to these, so its either one if those or a wiring issue, I'd think.

I didn't think they did, either.
Gotta be a fucky sensor somewhere, though.

I mean, my brakes were **** and mine was losing fluid from the front reservoir. Almost empty and no light.
Filed it up, now I have ****** brakes AND a brake light. Haha....
I might go down and investigate after dinner.

Sounds like you just need to apply some electrical tape to that spot on your gauge. Problem solved. :hands:
