I picked up some seats from a 1998 Dodge 1500 that have built in seat belts. I have the seats mostly in but I am not sure how to stiffen up the mounting points to ensure the seat does not move in a collision. I made the brackets attach to the rear mounting points of the original bench seat but the front is just attached to the floor at this point.

I know this has been done many times before I am just not finding anything when I search.

Thanks,

On most vehicles the reinforcement is basically a big washer to spread the load to more of the sheet metal.
