Adding my $.02, big filter can't hurt much of anything. I suspect that most filters are clogged up and start bypassing long before the oil is toast, but that is just me.
I started running the larger oil filter on my motorhome with the 8.1, and still changing conventional at about 3k miles, which is usually annual miles. For me, it was a simple decision since the factory system holds something like 9 quarts, and with the big filter, I can dump in (2) 5qt jugs and be done. It used to consume about 1 qt/thousand miles, and the low oil mark on the dipstick was about 3 qts low, so I never had to add really. After a lower temp thermostat, it looks like MUCH lower consumption, but it's so hard to track at the low driving rates I do. But the last couple oil changes I haven't noticed the dipstick low at all.

Pressure is resistance to flow. So no, larger filter will not raise pressure, keeps it lower longer.

The medium duty tall block 366's and 427's all used the AC 2 quart filter. Also back when most of the medium duty fleet had gasoline engines, tune ups included compression and cylinder leak down tests. The GM tall blocks always had the lowest consistent percentage of leak down compared to Ford and International.
Yet total oil pressure is always lower with old oil that is less viscous despite the flow being of greater resistance with a high mile filter.

You’ll see what?
It will run just like it did before the oil change.

Same same Johnny, SPE just happens to supply Cat filters with their kits, I actually run the WIX 51794XE on my Mack and Kobelco with a Cummins... It's common belief the Cat filters are superior but who the hell knows, $hit WIX probably makes them ! Upon further research I misspoke sorry, I use 51791XE filters which are an equivalent to the 1R-1807 Cat filter... My bad far too many part numbers rolling around in this pea brain !

shear stability of oil through its life span
If you have a real nasty narly oil (likely, highly neglected life AND current oil past due by a long time) you may start making your oil into a pudding

I run a Fram PH373 which is commonly used on the commercial version of the 350. It is rated 9K miles due to the additional filter area. And the extra oil is a plus for cooling and longevity.
Some install a larger aftermarket oil pan for the same reason.
