BBC 454 dipstick length?

Here's a pic of the oil pan. I like how the drain plug is in the middle pointing down on the bottom of the pan.

I added another quart today and it came up to the add 1 quart spot. That's 8 quarts now.

Your deep section is longer than my 7 qt pan. I bet it's closer to a 9 qt pan. That's good right? It will keep your BBC cooler.
