I have recently purchased some new vinyl covers for my bench seat. While working on the back rest,I’m not sure how to properly get the vinyl back on where the backrest meets the bench. Any suggestions? Pictures attached

It actually looks like you’re trying to put the seat upholstery on the back ?
Something doesn’t look right

The bottom side of your upholstery near your hinges should be open and then gets hog ringed together. You obviously have it on upside down.

I was trying to wrap the bottom of the vinyl around the frame. I think that’s what was causing this. I appreciate your help on this!!

Agree, what you’re wrapping around in those pics is either the front of the seat cushion cover or the top of the seat back cover.

@Matzorelli,

Anything like you're trying to do in order to get it tight will require taking the hog rings off, pulling it tight, re-hog ringing it. I agree with @Fire Truck 84 that it's split at the hinge. It's pulled around it at the corner and then reattached to the frame behind the hinge.
