Axle flip

Im considering an axle flip on my 86 c10. What is best brand? Is it nessesary to c notch the frame if i get rid of bump stops and go with air shocks, and how will it affect the ride...

I do not have a notch but removed the bump stops and brackets. There is plenty of room for axle movement this way.
Air shocks may or may not be the best best. They can get a little firm when added to a vehicle that will not be adding weight.
