Are these mirrors standard equipment?

I picked up a 78 k10 last summer and never really thought about it, but it has the small sport mirrors on it. I don't see these on trucks very often and don't think I've ever seen them on a K.

They did offer a small sport style mirror like that. I'm not sure which models/years it was offered, but it wouldn't surprise me if those were factory.

Those are OEM mirrors for square bodies. I purchased a set for my '68 El Camino from the dealership back in the early 90's.

I do believe so. Or maybe you got a credit if you didn't want tripod mirrors.

My '77 K5 came original with the sport mirrors too.

*Edit* at some point the "dumbo" mirrors went into production and those might have been standard, with the sport mirrors optional?

Please provide more pictures of the mirror's location. A direct side view / proportional to the glass ? Would be rad..

You mainly need to make sure the mirror head is to the rear of the wing window. Otherwise you can't open the window all the way.
