I've never used them but never heard any complaints about them. The kits are usually less money through Summit Racing rather than directly from WC.

Thanks for the response. Great idea on summit, been using them a lot lately.
I tried to order a WC kit through Summit and it showed it as back ordered for months and finally gave up and bought from Switch Suspension. The problem was a part that Summit had spec'd and they couldn't get it after the rona shutdowns. Hopefully your transaction goes a little smoother. Make sure you post picture of the progress when you guys get started on it.

Big Chip,

I went to the website yesterday and they do no offer the 2/4 drop we need at summit. I will look at switch or get through WC. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I/we are new to forum and I am new to this type of asking for help. He is not. His truck he bought at 14 and wanted to rebuild so we have been at it for 6 months and I feel that I will be spending a great deal of time here finding answers. We just got it back from paint and are getting ready to start putting it back together. I should have relied on the forum much sooner. I can see from past mistakes we/I made I could have saved us a lot of doing it over! I hope I/we can help someone along the way!

Looks like you guys are doing a good job so far! The questions about lowering are sometimes slow to be answered but most every other subject gets a pretty quick response so don't be afraid to ask anything.

Well, we realized that the lowering option and the wheel / tire selection kinda go hand in hand. He is going to be 16 in May and we are trying to get the “cool” stuff done by then so he can drive it and then the other stuff will come as his budget allows.

Again, thank you so much for the response and we will post our progress and we will keep looking to see if we can help someone. Have a blessed week my friend.

Anyone use the Western Chassis 2/4 drop kit no spindles only coils, shackles and shocks?
I used them on my 75 Stepside. Worked out great. I purchased the coil springs thru Summit but the leafs were on back order so I had to buy them from Western Chassis direct. I had the HD 56" rear spring option. The lowering springs only come in 52". I had to move my shackle hangers up 4" but that was pretty straight forward as the holes are already in the frame.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Summit does not stock the 2/4 kit but I’ll look around some.
