I have a 2006 5.3 4L60e silverado. I burnt up the trans, Got a rebuilt unit 3 year 100.000 mile warranty form a good shop. I removed it and installed it. Super cleaned the trans cooler before install. NO TRASH IN LINES. Got about 500 miles on it and now between 42/58 MPH I get a shudder. If i give it gas it goes away. if I tap the brakes it goes away. That tells me it the TC.
other than that it runs perfect. I called the shop to tell them what happened and he told me to bring it in to get checked on computer. the shudder went away so I did not go to shop. 3 weeks later its coming back. I called today to ask when a good time to come in and he tells me he thinks i have a bad mass air flow sensor and to change it out and see if it goes away. I dont have any problems whatsoever with the engine and it runs like a new truck.

He says thats whats causing the shudder. Is there a way to test this MAFS?
I told him the truck runs perfect and i have no codes. He insist thats the problem.. THANKS

You’d think a bad MAF would throw an OBDII code since it’s emissions related...

Do you know for sure tcc unlocks when giving a bit of throttle? It might be just load related instead of tcc

I was thinking your torque convertor lockup could be causing the issue.
It usually engages around that speed. When you step on the brake it will disengage.
