Hi everybody, I was driving down the road the other night when all of the sudden my headlights went out. Now my dash and interior lights were still working and also my running lights and brights. So I replaced the head light switch and they still dont work and I fear a wiring issue. Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Or maybe has had a similiar problem? Any help is apprieciated!

Hi beams work but lo beams don't?

Check wiring going to lo beams, could be broken or eaten by rodents.

Also the Hi/lo switch might be busted.

I had a similar issue with an '88 Camaro once, except the lights would start working again after parking for a while. I cleaned all the harness grounds in the front end and it never happened again.

I've had similar symptoms from bad dimmer switches.

There is another switch near the base of the column. Its call the headlight dimmer switch and it looks like this:

You must be registered for see images attach

You can trace it down by following high beam rod from the column down to this switch. When you pull the lever this is the switch that changes between high and low. Have a look at that switch. It may be rebuild-able or serviceable.
