Rockauto has rancho shocks on there . just search parts for year make and model. They also give us coupon codes for 5% off periodically. They are in vendor section of forums

Be advised that a factory option was available for 1988 V-Jimmys (maybe other years?) for Quad shocks on the front. Couldn't tell from your photo if you have single or doubles. I think there was another thread on the forum (Maybe in the Wanted thread) for the double shock bracket. I ordered this option on my '88 V-Jimmy. Don't know if they are the same PN.

So the truck clearly has two driveshafts:

the one in the front has been made too short due to recentish 6" lift and the one in the back broke on both ends (yokes need replaced) and is slightly short i believe. Best place to get NEW lengthened driveshafts for a Jimmy????

SO i finally pushed the Jimmy in to stall last night; first time under a roof for over 5 years. started to hammer away on her today! (big day for me) pulled out the dash, seats, took off the cap and doors, got it all cleaned up. there ended up being a few holes in the floor and the wiring is an absolute mess. got the tailgate down after a slight battle (plenty of lube works every time) went to adjust the alternator belt but broke the adjuster bolt, that needs drilled out now. And still trying to figure out new driveshafts details. day one a success!

Got alot done today, pulled out the unused/damaged transmission and engine coolers, removed the unused auxiliary battery tray, removed an aftermarket horn, removed a TON of hodge-podge crap wiring and zipties/debris. Removed the gauge cluster and a/c ventilations to aid in the MUCH needed wiring makeover. also did more digging and found some more holes :( anyone know the best place to get panel replacements and also a good tilt wheel steering column rebuild kit?

Now that's a project. make sure you tag all the wiring ends, even if it's an add on by someone else. Because by the time you get back to it you won't remember what it was plugged into. The wiring manuals on this site will help when you get there.

Yo @Goldie Driver care to share with the padawan?

Is that a stock ornament? Don't recall them having wings turned up like that. Factory ornaments I've seen have the main wing extending and the upright coming off of it near the tip.

After a little searching it seems the upturned wings on the hood ornament are from a 54 chevy. The 55 would be like I described above.
