Hello !
New here ……
87 gmc 1/2 ton SWB with factory v6. Replacing with 79 corvette 350.
Looking for the correct motor mount stands (perches) and do they mount in the forward most holes in the frame ?
So many answers I found online and not sure about any of them.
Thanks !!!!!!

I would just buy some V8 mounts on Amazon and give them a try.

That's not how it works.

Iirc, the brackets on the frame are different than the v8 brackets. But if not, the correct holes should already be there for the v6 mount placement.

Welcome from Austria.
For the V8 you need engine perches/brackets/towers that look like these:

Do you know and understand, all the other changes that are going to be neccesary. V8 fanshroud for 1,2nd yo are TBI a
79 Corvette is quadrajet. You do need frame perches, clam shells, and motor mounts for a V8 squarebody. Corvette exhaust manifolds, probably are not going to work with your frame. Are you going to stay TBI? Sorry for so many things thrown in the mix there. There are actually more. I have a Carbureated parts Truck that still has most of what you need. Depending on your direction with this project, and if you want to do some horse trading.
