    Audi was really rough and never made it to road worthy, it’s my second subi, 07 outback for $700, no rust and it’s been in Ohio !?!? Traded the Audi for a bunch of stuff and made out really well on the deal.

    Wow, what an oily mess!! I did some scrubbing on the trans and transfer case for about an hour with degreasers and dawn dish soap. It’s better but still a mess. I pulled the flex plate off and left the rear main installed until I figure out a makeshift install tool! Ordered a new starter yet again, hopefully it will be in by Saturday.

    It was a DB electric High torque starter. Had good reviews on the inter webs and was easy on the bank. My local autoparts store with my discount wanted $170-210

    I was more worried about reusing my old starter with the teeth that were a little pitted from the junk flex plate so I opted for a new one again. I may see about getting it rebuilt if the hard parts are cheap enough
