Hey guys, I've been searching for a replacement cab for awhile now for my 76 c10 build. I have found a guy who's willing to sell a rust free, very nice cab from an 86' . Is there any reason not to use this cab for my build? What would it take to make it indistinguishable from a 73-80 cab? I want this truck to be as original as possible. Am I better off holding out for a year correct cab? Thanks!

The most obvious thing is the hood hinges are built into the cab, not bolted to the fenders. I’m not sure how hard that is to overcome though.

Ok, this is more than I want to get into. I'll hold off for a correct year range cab. There's a company I can probably get one for $2k shipped if I wait a little while.
