What is recommended for side steps/ runner boards for this year vehicle.
The previous owner removed the factory running boards, and I haven't been able to find a replacement that fits that year online. I am ok with just the steps. But not sure how well they connect.
Any advise/ help appreciated.

There were no factory boards or steps, but there was a lot of aftermarket stuff. If Deezee didn't still make a set of aluminum running boards, I'd be surprised.

Were the DeeZee boards a dealer installed option then? Seems like 73-87's all over the country had the exact same ones. My burb has them and the original owner wasn't the type to modify or add anything unless it was just checking a box on an order form.

I'm not sure, it probably varied with each dealer. DeeZee seemed to be the most popular brand, that's one thing I know for sure.

I don't think you can find those original ones new anymore, just nerf bar steps and such. Seemed to have faded away with all the old school stuff, like the flat deflector shields.
