It is somewhat mine now, except for never finished auction paperwork from six years ago.
Needs a bit of everything, and I am not even sure if it runs and drives. Just got dumped off the trailer with gasoline can under the hood, no battery and disconnected drive shaft. It has been swapped to a 12 bolt rear and apparently needs an adapter ujoint. Came with 4.8/5.3+4l60e in the bed. I was supposed to pay a bit of extra for the ls motor but everything seemed to be worse.

Getting the driveshaft figured out. Apparently the truck might have actually came originally with th400, so it had a rear end with 3r ujoints. PO put in a 12 bolt that used 1310 ujoints. Therefore I am waiting for a special conversion ujoint to come in from summit. I have no idea if this 12 bolt was set up with shims or crush sleeve and figured that it is better to leave the yoke in it alone instead of trying to install a 3r pinion yoke that came with the truck.

Drive shaft is a bit too short. About an 1.5". Wondering if a flip kit in the rear would make the drive shaft work.

It'll probably push it in a little, but I don't know if it'll be enough.

Driveshaft is in, and got it running enough to move off the street.

Cleaned the calipers and their bleed screws, bled the master and found lines for the rear. Need new hoses for the front. Also found a nice outer tie rod end. Motor has 993 smog heads. And the block has a number stamped that means something. Looks like might be late 80's gm crate motor made in Mexico

Someone hit something pretty hard to tear that tie rod up like that.

Has brakes and shocks. Ready to drive as far as 2 gallons of fuel under the hood will let it.

Tires were 12 or more years old. Picked up a set of four from discount tire for $230. Cheapest of the cheapest, but they are new and do more than just hold air.
