Details. Tidied up the radiator hoses, ac wiring, suffered through attaching vintage air ductwork (install prior to dash for those looking to do this job).

    What’s left?
    Bleed brakes.
    Finish clip
    Rear belts
    Flush trans
    Exhaust
    Trailer wiring
    Cruise

I have to admit I was not a fan of the 81 grille when I bought my truck in 2012, but it is a sharp looking grille.

It’s not my favorite. I prefer the round eye.

I was a fan of the round eye because that was all I had when I was younger. But the 4 square headlights and toothy look grew on me.

I have a picture of a prerunner blazer that pretty much has me in lust. It’s the dream. This truck will be a good daily.

    :drool::hump:

Yeah that thing is sexy! Plenty of ground clearance, probably has lots of power, and the ride is most likely smooth as silk.

I have kind of lost my list of stuff done...
    So here’s my best guess.

    Front to back:
    new condenser and dryer
    new mishimoto radiator
    new hoses
    Water pump
stripped off the smog pump, intake, manifolds and carb
replaced with holley carb, edelbrock intake and hooker headers long tubes.
New vintage air compressor and underdash evaporator.
    Condensed wiring harness
Cut out rust in windshield and welded in fresh steel and installed new windshield. New HEI, new plugs and wires.
New usa1industries dash and reupholstered seats.
Cleaned, dyed and restored door panels and replaced belt line gaskets.
    ACC carpet kit
new 3 point seat belts at all 4.
    New headliner.
    Replaced the carrier bearing
    repaired wiring on gas tank.
Cut out crap exhaust and bought black widow mufflers going in next week.

Blah blah blah. Might be time to drive it and see what else it needs.

    Big ugly Sue.

I love the audacity of gm from the 70s/80s. We offer a rear 3 pt seat belt.... but it’s an option.

I had a productive if not informative day. I don't have the correct fittings for the transmission cooler on the radiator so I bypassed it for now.

The radiator puked a very nasty brown foam on startup which I think is a head gasket. Or it’s just crap in the new radiator, water pump and intake combined with excessive coolant. I went ahead and flushed the radiator a couple of times and we will see. Right now it runs super cool.

I dropped the pan on the trans and did a filter and gasket and fresh fluid. Been putting it off.

I did drive the truck a little. It's loud.

Big girl barely fits on my lift or in my garage.
