81 and up bumper on a 73-80 frame

I have 86 body on a 73-80 3/4 ton frame and I want to put a 81 and up bumper on it. Will the 81 and up outer front bumper brackets work on this frame?

to my recollection they all interchange with the correct brackets for the bumper

I did a front clip swap on my '80 way back in the 90's. All the 81 & up bracket fit. The only thing you have to do is trim the frame horns a bit to fit the main frame brackets.

I have a 79 chassis with 86 body. I used a 79 bumper. I like the early bumper.

wow! that doesn't look bad. Do you have any pictures of the bumper from the side-I'd like to see how it returns back into the fender, specifically the gap.
