78 windshield washer question

So my intermittent wipers in my 78 work kinda, ive deduced that its the delay module. The washer function has never worked, no responce at all. Yesterday goofin with the switch i push the washer and i hear a click out under the hood but no spray anybody have an idea where i can look next to get sprayers working? Am i missing a secret?

Make sure the intake filter in the tank and the windshield squirters are free of crud. I had the same issue, ended up replacing the pump.

I've grown to hate the failure prone internal type washer pumps. I always wire an external washer pump to the factory wiring.

sounds like the motor is trying to work. you can remove it from the resivor , jumper wires to it and alternate the current +/- , -/+ and tap on it with a screw driver handle. i might break loose and work again.

sounds like the motor is trying to work. you can remove it from the resivor , jumper wires to it and alternate the current +/- , -/+ and tap on it with a screw driver handle. i might break loose and work again.
Mine isnt in the resivour its on the wiper motor

sorry forgot the early ones were part of the wiper motor. try dissembling and cleaning it probably a sticky valve or they do sell a rebuild kit for that pump that is about $15

Who sells the rebuild kit? That’s the only thing on my truck that doesn’t work right now.

Who sells the rebuild kit? That’s the only thing on my truck that doesn’t work right now.
all my aftermarket truck catalogs show it there is a rebuild kit and or a pump assembly available. classicchevroletparts.com classicparts.com lmctruck.com
