They are very basic and don't have many features, but I like the B&M Unimatic shifter in trucks. They mount right into the floor and the stick is a very good length for trucks.

Holy bad fit Batman. I should have known better than to start cutting just thinking if I got it closer to the right size it would somehow fit better. How does this part number come up for this truck?

Why does the back of the floor pan have this sticker on it. Dg for dodge right, and 72-80 for years? Or am I getting ahead of myself?

Man Rock Auto has dug there heels in deep, they are refusing to accept any responsibility for that being the wrong patch and then the have the audacity to tell me since the patch can’t be returned I can feel free to buy another patch from them.

Well I have to hand it to them seven emails later and they decided to send me the correct patch panel. Hopefully it isn’t for a dodge again.:emotions33::emotions33:

I'd personally put a column shifter in. A 1991 CC could have come with a 4L80E from the factory wit ha column shifter.

Also, where are you located in Oregon? I'm hopefully going to start the mechanical side of my restoration soon. Engine/trans swap and lots of electrical, suspension, and frame work. Body and paint repair will hopefully come in a year or two once it is mechanically sound.

Does anyone know if there is a “modern” fiberglass canopy that looks good on the squares?

What is the “right” way to fix this on the back of the cab? How much bondo is to much? I have pulled it but it is starting to curl the cab around the window and Pilar out. Does a guy cut it out or accept the filler this isn’t going to be a show truck by any means but don’t want a bondo chunk falling off.

To be repaired properly, the whole area needs systematically pulled out with a stud gun or a self-welding dent puller. Some areas probably need heated with a torch too so the metal will be more willing to comply.

The maximum thickness of bondo is a personal preference. I don't like anything over 1/8", but occasionally there may be a little tiny dip where it's around 3/16".

Some people are willing to apply much more than that though and it often sticks.

Well probably another hour of this and I will have both sides a lot closer. But hours are hard to come by seeing as the wife and I had twin girls in September.

Well I didn’t get much done on the truck but I did get my lift installed.

But I also found out that my brand new hood somehow fell off the back of the truck and it crinkled the one corner of the thing. That’s gonna be real fun to fix.:(:(:(
