Basically, as title states, are they different? Because I went and bought a bench and the brackets don't wrap down at the front, they just hang out in the air and the rear bolts don't line up either.

And if they are different, can I just go get 73-80 ones and bolt them to the newer bench?

Yes they are different, yes you can swap them between seats as far as I know.

I have a set of 81+ brackets that I used as the middle mounts of the 60/40 seats in my truck now. I remember wondering why they were different because the part to the seat looked the same. It didn't really matter to me as I modified them anyhow.

Yeah this seat has been in my truck awhile, it's just kind of flopping about there, but I was wondering if it was even a Chevy seat, I only paid 10 dollars for it, but still lol.
