6.2 Diesel

I have an 85 model 6.2 Chevy diesel that I will be removing from a truck I bought. Do not know if it runs. Will sell the entire setup or by pieces. SELLING THE MOTOR ONLY. MUST PICKUP. I live in North Carolina.

What transmission was behind the motor and how far from Richmond Va?

I believe it's a 700R4. I'm about 5hrs away in Catawba,NC.

So you have not heard the engine run, is it locked up?

Have not heard it run. Will try to see if it turns over and cranks next week.

Motor turns. I didn't try to start it.

I have started to take apart this motor. It did turn over but did not try to start it. It still is in the truck but in long block form. I took one of the valve covers off, it was super clean. All parts that are diesel related will be sold and must pickup large parts. Located in Catawba, NC. Offers considered.

Quite nice, Too bad it wasn't 1982. There are quite a few parts that will work with the 82s Since they are so special.

Have the motor out, heads are removed, engine is in short block form.

Trade all the 6.2 diesel engine parts, pullies, PS pump, starter, and everything else associated with the engine, brackets, AC compressor for a set of 85 model C10 2wd rallies with centers or a set of Corvette style rallies. Everything has already been removed and separated. The engine is in short block, heads have been removed.
