hey guys,

I have a 2wd 1985 gmc c1500 and I got 15x10 wheels on the back with 295’s. I want to put 2 inch wheel spacers on the back but can’t seem to find any. Does anyone have a reliable source? Or any experience in this? Thanks

You want to use adapter style spacers and get them from a company with a good reputation which tests the stuff they produce and not online China junk.

I run Motorsport Tech steel adapter style steel spacers on my K5.
They don't have the 5 lug spacer (steel) in stock but they can produce any spacer to your specs.
Bora aluminum spacers are made by them and they are in stock for 5 lug axles.

Huh? You have 15x10s AND want to run a 2" spacer? You WANT the wheels sticking out of the back of the truck? As short and small as the studs are on these drums, ain't no way I'd ever do that

That's cuz there's not alot of demand for them. As I said before, it's more a concern of the rear wheel studs. I'm not anti-spacer, I've run them on several of my '99-07 trucks without issue. The problem is the studs on these squarebody trucks are not long enough or large enough to safely run spacers, especially one of that size. It'll put tremendous stress on the wheel studs and probably break off at some point, it's a safety concern.

If you want to run the spacers, if you find some you like, you really need to pull the axles out and get larger, longer studs installed and have the drums drilled larger to fit over the new studs. That's the only way to do it safely.

^^^^ This

I agree with the posters that say the wheel studs on squarebodies are rather small and 2" will add a lot of stress on them

BUT if you run any spacers get something American made:
Spydertrax
Synergy Mfg.
Never heard of BORA but looks like nice stuff.

What wheels are you running/planning to use?

15x10, but what offset/backspacing?

I ran a set of Amazon 2" adapters to go from 5x5 to 5x4.75 for one season. I can confirm it did look sketchy when torqued down on them short studs, but there were no issues. If you go that route, check them periodically.

BORA all day - they will custom make any size you need. Them and the Fred Goeske are the only brands I would consider (I run BORA).
