Stalked for a while, first post for me, don't kill me....lol

89 GMC V3500 , factory 454, swapping to a gm performance 502ho.
Looking at the Fitech easy street 600 system and im getting confused on what to do for fuel delivery?
I know I have to raise the fuel pressure, so do I install 2 new high pressure in tank fuel pumps or swap to the fitech fuel command center? Any thoughts on which is easier now, and best for long term? Any other do's and dont's would be much appreciated....and thx

I went the in-tank pump route for my LS swap on my 88' R20. Should work the same for your 502 in your 89'. I bought two 5CA-400HP kits from fuel-pumps.net, and replaced the fuel switching valve with a new version (direct install, no mods, just supports higher pressure). I used an ACDelco U7000 for that. Works great, been running the setup for 2 years.

Just make sure to use EFI rated rubber hose (Gates Barricade is great) and EFI clamps from the sending units to the valve.

Yes you need new pumps the stock pumps arent rated for 15psi and flow is terrible. The stock switching valve is rated to like 65 psi, how much pressure are you going to use @foamypirate ?

I went with the fuel command center. Retains stock fuel pump so I can pump from either tank. And the stock fuel pump, pumps into the command center and that has the high output pump in there to give the right amount of pressure for the throttle body.

that's a sweet motor. you'll be within 100hp of the fitechs capabilities.

in tank is the way to go for longevity. it can also be cheaper if you're doing the work yourself.

The LS runs at 58psi or so, but I'm sure the valve sees a little bit higher pressure since the regulator is after the valve. Been running for over 2 years now without a hiccup. I'd guess there is quite a bit of headroom in the 65psi rating.
