4150 2nd metering block missing holes

carb list 4777-2, block 11166. Missing holes on passenger side. (see attached photo) These passages link the high speed air bleed in main body to the main jet circuit in the block.

Before I drill 0.025"...

Should these holes be:
1. blocked both sides
2. clear on driver side only (as is: counterintuitive.)
3. clear both sides.

If you have any 4150 2nd metering blocks in your parts bin, please take a look! :)
If you know from experience, even better.

Drilled missing holes 0.025". If this causes a problem, I will post again.

You did the right thing, you have to have emulsion holes both sides, I checked my 650 double pumper, (4150 brawler) with a pin gauge and all of my emulsion holes ,(front and rear) were .028, and my high speed air bleeds were .028 as well. I think holley messed up on that block.

I know that holley truck avenger carbs. have no high speed air bleeds at all , thats why they are not recommended for the street, but I dont know about the emulsion holes on those carbs. (never have had one). Both of my 4160's have emulsion holes as well, (the quick fuel has three per side).

Both of these carbs. have the secondary metering block conversion instead of the plate.

Nice. My grandparents had a place in Kings Beach. I visited often, drove through Truckee every time. Beautiful area. Take care and thanks again for the support!
