Making a new new thread for this one as it will be a bit of a project.
All of the underhood stuff needs to be cleaned up, including the yellow paint on the covers. And double ls3 badges. If I had extra set of covers, I would just burn those. Wheels suck on it, rear alignment is off, clutch barely still together and the trans is shot. It will try to drive rear wheels in neutral if clutch is released. But strangely still can shift in to all the gears and even reverse.

The front rad support/skid bar is half way gone. Nothing left to weld back together. Will have to source another one. Also went shopping. Got tr6060 with torque tube, clutch and rear diff from 13 z06.

It's probably just me, but I would have given the car a bath when I got it home. Probably hasn't had one in a while. :D

Sounds a bit rough but will be a nice toy when you are done.
Unless you plan on selling.

It has not made it home yet. Sitting at a friend's place. Too many junky corvettes cluttering the driveway

If you want another one? I know where a 2001 Z06 is with 70,000 on it and no problems at all. In Texas too.

He said it has no problems. Move along.;)
I can at least dream of getting one without having to put any work in it. Usually it is not at the price that is affordable.

All depends on the price. And if it is a manual

Yup, 6 speed manual yellow and black. He's done some engine mods too. It's at a dealer 5 minutes away from my house. They want 15,000 but, I'm sure they'd work with ya. It's a really nice car. I almost bought it and probably would have if the salesman would have been better at his job. Lol

It drives around the block happily clunking away. Not actually sure what is wrong as it still goes in all the gears but will find out in a month or so. Meanwhile picking up some wheels.

Tried moving it across town and failed miserably. Was getting more noise and when got to third gear it violently locked up with spedometer swinging wildely. Pushed it back couple of blocks and was able to drive again couple of meters to get to the parking spot with a lot of grinding resistance.
Will plan for a tow strap next time

Usually people baby those cars, rare to see one that's all beat the frig up like that. Did a 17 year old used to own it or something? Hell, if I had one I would hammer on it, but would still maintain the damn thing. That and I would resist the urge to put stickers ALL OVER it lol

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, how much does a c6 in that condition go for?
