I have a 14 bolt, semi float on my 1984 K20. Someone local has a 14 bolt, SF off of a 2000 2500 with disc brakes. Both are 4.10 gears and 8 bolt so..... how difficult to swap the 2000 on to my truck? Sure would like the rear discs if possible and seems like an axle swap might be easier than a conversion kit.

Might be easier, just depends on the type of work you consider to be hard. The perches and shock tabs would need to be cut off and welded on in the correct location. A lot of people buy new perches and shock tabs to weld on, but if you are careful when removing them, they are easy to reuse.
