I was trying to buy a cut-out to repair a hack job, by PO, on my Blazer dash. Seller of a piece asked me if mine came with larger radio or smaller. I had no idea there was a difference but he said his '89 'Burb came with the larger radio. Can anyone help me determine which my '88 came with? Thanks. Gary

Earlier trucks were set up for shaft mounted radios. i.e. knobs. Later ones had rectangular openings for 1-1/2 DIN radios.

My 88 Suburban had the shaft style radio.

Yours came with a 2700 ETR, which is the small one shown in the picture Derek posted. The regular 2700’s last year was ‘87 as far as I know, and the 2000 ETR showed up in the trucks in ‘89. The 2700 ETR and 2700 have the same dimensions.
