I’m many months along in this restoration and have 100’s of photos to post now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve been through everything from gas tanks to transfer case to repaint rust repair interior paint and more. I’ll start to post many more fotos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The drivers side door prepped and painted the new olive drab color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really cool truck! Will the side trim be going back on? So many people remove it, but imho it just looks 'right' with it installed.
Too much of it was damaged so I decided to go without but i agree , I like the moulding. The wheel well will have it back on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here’s a foto of passenger fender. The emblem was shot so i painted them in metallic silver catalyzed polyurethane to save money. They just came out with new emblems but they’re $80 each. Too much .. I’d rather invest that elsewhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There’s a story on that color. I bought these army boxes for camping and had the color eye matched in house paint. I liked it so much I had the color matched again in catalyzed polyurethane for the truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
not to tear ya down guy but isn't it best to paint it with the door hanging as it would be on the truck? Unless i'm missing some secret tip?
It can be done on but I painted all the jambs and the interior side of the doors the same color , even the hinges. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking absolutely stunning. Nice work! Does that color really change that much with the lighting? The fender looks closer to an ochre color and the door decidedly OD green.
The I phone and lighting make the fender look more like UPS brown. It looks greener depending on lighting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heres a pic of the cab. I had to spray it in two sessions. The door jambs and rear first and the next day the roof and cowl. Two reasons , I couldnt reach across the roof without hitting the sides and #2 Im 56 and cant get around fast enough to keep a wet edge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
