I'm about to start installing my lowering kit on my 1980 C10. After inspecting it tonight it became pretty clear that the easiest way to get the 3 front rivets on the spring hangers is to lift the box off. There is only about an inch between the rear of the fuel tank and the front of the hanger. Anyone with a better way to get at those 3 rivets on each side that might save me the time of taking the box off?

Depends on what you’re doin. If you want to freshen up the fuel system then just drop the tank. If you have anything else you wanna do that’s under the box, then take the box off, maybe if your box mounting bolts are questionable. Body mount bolts are a pain to deal with sometimes, being rusty and what not.

All depends on your plans.
