I have a 1978 K10 Scottsdale with a unique seat. I am hoping someone can help me identify the seat and whether or not it is original or aftermarket. I am trying to decide if I should have it reupholster it or replace it.

I believe that those years came with a full bench seat, so that's most likely an aftermarket seat.

Looks like an upfitter seat from Qualitex or some other conversion company.

If you like the way the seat feels, I'd keep it and reupholster. It looks to have nice bolsters and a decent fold down armrest. You could modify it to a low back or whatever.

It's a nice seat. Bottom is a bench and slides as a unit but the padding and high seat backs give the feel of buckets. Also still have the third seat when needed.
