starter truck 1977 chevy Cheyenne 305/th350
Donor truck is a 1985 chevy k10 frame that I got for free
For the most part, it was a straight forward swap that included to remove the wiring, tanks, and bed from the '85. and when I removed the cab from my truck P.S with rusted cab supports this went south quick so I had to use an acetylene torch but once I got the box and cab off it fell right on the '85 frame beside the bed bolts being different it was pretty easy. So now all that's left is installing a new output shaft, getting new cab mounts and installing the fuel tanks and wiring then playing the game of cutting the hole in the floor for the t-case shifter.
Sits higher than I thought but my future plans are a 383, 4-inch lift, 15x12 mickey Thompson classic lll, and 35s if I can find them with an r speed rating, Also got some rust-free spare doors.
