Scrolling through craigslist just for fun is a dangerous game. I landed this 70,000 original documented mile truck from a neat guy running a bus maintenance business who himself bought from the town of Kilgore, Texas. It has almost everything I can think of done to it to make it a reliable truck with new timing gears, new edelbrock, brakes, distributor, alternator, starter, nearly everything.

Did I mention the lights, siren, and PA system function? If you look closely you can see remains of the words “Crime Scene” on both doors. It is even titled as a rescue vehicle.

50 Gallon auxiliary tank in the bed that also can connect to fill other vehicles. I am going to need it with that huge 454. Not bad for a little over 2 grand.

Right off the bat noticed the solenoid from my ford, he was nice enough to throw in the dual optima batteries.
Apparently to power the whole thing when he first bought the rig it had what he described as an massive “aircraft alternator” with 2 voltage regulators that had to be hooked up to a trickle charger when not in use.
