Hey Everyone,
I have a chance to buy a 4 point roll bar from a 1972 Blazer, does anyone know if this would fit in a 1990 Blazer if I extended the front mounting posts. Is the bed dimensions the same?

If it's a good enough deal, I'd give it a whirl! Rollbars are just so dang hard to find these days.

Damn! They're proud of that, aren't they? Lol. I would think that the newer body style would be a touch larger on the inside, so I would think it wiuld work, but I have no numbers to back it up.

I think he wants 500 because it’s a factory piece, so maybe I shouldn’t hack it up. Maybe someone may want an Original Bar for their early Blazer.

Only thing you can do is take some measurements and compare. I wouldn't think you would need to cut anything on it. Just set it to clear the wheel tubs.

'69-'77 K5's have a flat rear floor, where the '78-'91 have a footwell for the rear seat. So at minimum, the front legs would need extended to reach the floor.

The possible hangup I see is the roof. But maybe the roll bar can be slid back far enough for the main hoop to have clearance.

Thanks guys, I was hoping someone may have done this or at least tried it at one time. I will compare bed dimensions from drawings or may ask if he minds me mocking it up in my K5, looks like the bars are removable (bolted in) not welded.

It's more of a grab bar for passengers... not really roll over proven. But still cool!
