    I think you would be better served with 4:30 gears as you will still get the launch you need and will be better on the street. I ran an s10 with 383 / 400 4:30 gears and 14-32 slicks, constantly was in low 10's

    modern size wheels that fit squarebody chevies

    These are the wheels I am running on my 84. They are from the older jeeps that are 5 x 5 and they are 16" x 8". They fit well, but need the lower control arms trimmed slightly so the a arm and wheel don't touch during a hard turn.
